Defend the Spinning Arm Bar from Guard, Version 1
Use this defensive technique when your opponent attempts to perform a spinning arm bar, while you are trapped in her guard. In this example, your right arm is being attacked.
As she pivots in an attempt to get both legs on the same side of your body, use a thumb-less grip to grab your left bicep with your right hand.
Once you’ve secured your own bicep, use your left hand to secure her left leg with a thumb-less grip. Apply enough pressure to keep her stacked up.
Step forward with your right foot.
Pull your right arm free.
