Promotions (Dec. 14)

I'd like to congratulate two of my teammates who moved up in rank last night. First off, congratulations to Marcin "Marty" Pirog, who received a fourth degree on his blue belt. His hard work and consistent training continue to pay off. Next stop: Purple belt!

Also, huge congratulations to James Bell for earning his blue belt! We managed to catch James by surprise, even after a fifteen-minute roll where he cycled through all teammates present as well as coach Daniel. James has been working incredibly hard at the academy and is an active competitor, having taken home a gold medal at a 2017 NAGA event. His self-defense is solid, as is his proficiency in the sport techniques that are necessary for the rank of blue belt. Well-deserved!
