Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy Connecticut has been selected as the location for the 10th “Girls with Grips” open mat event. The schedule is as follows:
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Yoga, taught by Missy LoSchiavo, open to everyone for a $15 (minimum) donation to benefit Tap Cancer Out.
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Ladies-only open mat.
The 8th “Ladies in Gis” event will take place on Sunday, December 29th in North Branford, Connecticut. This is a ladies-only open mat, where women of all ages and from all schools are welcome. We’ve had upwards of 20 people at past events, so you’re almost guaranteed to meet new people and learn new things!
Join us for some friendly sparring before the big meal!
Regularly-scheduled classes are cancelled on Labor Day, but you can still attend our open mat from 10 am to noon!
Secret Pages Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is hosting “Ladies in Gis 5”, a women’s open mat. The event itself is from 10:00 to 12:00, but prior to that, brown belt Katlyn Doran will be teaching a seminar from 9:00 to 10:00 for just a $10 donation. The seminar is open to both men and women.
Soulcraft Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is hosting an open mat for women only on Sunday, May 19th. We are planning to bring as many of our ladies and teens as possible! The first three events - at IMBCT, Relson Gracie CT, and Ronin BJJ - were well-attended and a lot of fun; I’m sure the trend will continue with this one.
