Cross-Collar Choke from Front Mount
Start in a good front mount position.
With your non-dominant hand, open his same-side lapel.
Slide the fingers of your dominant hand deep into his opposite-side lapel, which you are holding open.
Close your fist, and curl your entire hand toward your body, like you are revving a motorcycle.
Slide your non-dominant hand under your other arm, and reach your fingers deep into his opposite-side lapel. This creates the “cross” part of the “cross-collar choke”.
As with the other hand, close your non-dominant first and curl your entire hand toward your body. This should lift his head off the mats.
Bend your torso forward, bringing your head toward the ground and letting your opponent’s body naturally part your elbows. Bring your forearms DOWN onto his neck rather than pulling his neck UP to you. This should complete the choke.
